After studying journalism and filmmaking at Emerson College, Cass returned to his beloved hometown of New York City. There he found his passion for writing was particularly well-suited to the craft of editing commercials and films. Cass developed his voice under visionaries such as Hank Corwin, Larry Bridges, Barry Brown, and Adam Schwartz at Lost Planet and Red Car before branching out on his own as a freelance editor for independent features and commercials. He has worked with Academy Award winning documentary director Vanessa Roth, groundbreaking filmmaker Spike Lee, and iconic photographer Richard Avedon. In 2008, Boards Magazine recognized Cass as a top 5 commercial editor for his award-winning work. Since 2007 he has been thrilled to frequently collaborate with avant-garde production company Psyop. Highlights include : Coke’s “Happiness Factory” and Converse’s music video for “My Drive Thru”, Esquire Magazine’s Augmented Reality short films.
